Level 2 Qualification

The Level 2 Intermediate Qualification is the starting point on the qualification ladder.

Launched in February 2006, this qualification is designed to get you started on the road to becoming a fully qualified groomer.

You will be required to complete a work book which involves gathering evidence both written and photographic, followed by a
theory test of multi-choice questions. You will also be assessed on your overall practical performance in the preparation of a dog
ready for styling.

Theory Test
In most cases, the theory test is done on line at the Look North Salon and you will receive the results to this immediately.

The Assessment
For students completing the 16 day course, the assessment will take place during the final week. However, for those of you
already in the grooming industry, or who have already undertaken training, you will be required to spend 2 days with us for
assessment purposes followed by a day to complete the qualification.

The Workbook
The workbook will be completed during the 16 day training or for those
not taking the course, the workbook can be taken away to allow you to
collect all the evidence required before proceeding with the assessment.
The work book will then be forwarded to the Pet Care Trust for marking.
   


To obtain a successful result you must
achieve all 3 parts of the qualification.
